Tennessee Home Builders Foundation

Building the Future

Making home ownership a reality requires a strong residential construction industry. The Home Builders Association of Tennessee is committed to advancing the residential construction industry through workforce development, education,  and trainings.

WHO WE ARE

Our mission is increasing public awareness and assisting young talented individuals to rewarding careers in residential construction through our 501c3 Foundation, the Tennessee Home Builders Foundation. The Foundation sees skills development through career and education as an agent of change for individuals, families, communities, and the nation.

Through the Foundation, we gift scholarships in honor of David Stauffer, a past president of the Home Builders Association of Tennessee. David Stauffer recognized the importance of education and building a strong workforce. In tribute to his lifelong commitment to the industry,   the David Stauffer Scholarship was created in his memory. The scholarship is available to deserving Tennessee students pursuing a degree or certificate in construction or related fields. These students are the future leaders of the residential construction industry.

  • David Stauffer Scholarship

The David Stauffer Scholarship is a “matching funds” achievement based scholarship program administered by the Tennessee Home Builders Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization.  The scholarship is available to Tennessee students pursuing a degree or certificate in construction or related fields. Young adults graduating from career and technical programs, colleges, and universities are the future business owners, who in turn hire employees and pay taxes. And as the state’s population continues to grow and the demand for housing continues to rise, the need for construction professionals will increase.
