2019 Spring Legislative Conference

Loading Events
The Legislative Conference is a 2-day program dedicated to raising awareness about the issues facing the home building industry and connecting members with policymakers on Capitol Hill. Each year, members from across the state come to:
Learn the issues. Take part in briefings and information sessions from HBAT’s government affairs experts.
Meet with policymakers. Participate in hill visits where members can meet with their elected officials in Nashville and hear directly from agency staff.
Advocate for the industry. Policy makers need to hear directly from the constituents they represent. Your direct, face-to-face advocacy on Capitol Hill is vital to the association and to the housing industry as a whole.
Meet and connect with peers from around the state. Meet with your peers to collaborate, hear new ideas and network.
Who should attend?
If you’re eager to learn about the state policy decisions impacting your business and are ready to take part in the political process, the Spring Legislative Conference is for you! We encourage every member to join us in Nashville, learn about the issues, and help advocate on behalf of the industry. No previous policy experience is necessary, the HBAT staff will be on-hand to walk you through the process.
